Amici Miei - Shoreditch

Italian Home Cooking in East London
.
I enjoyed their Melanzane alla Parmigiana - Oven Baked Aubergine Layers with Tomato, Mozzarella and Parmesan (1st photo) & Goat's Cheese, Caramelised Onion, Walnut & Honey (3rd photo).

I am a fan of Ravioli and tried their Gorgonzola and Walnut Stuffed Ravioli (2nd photo) I would ask for slightly less salt in the Ravioli next time as I found it a tad bit salty, but this might just be put down to personal preference.
.
They have a varied menu with hearty pasta dishes and their authentic Italian Pizza is made freshly at the restaurant and is a firm favourite with locals (6th photo)
We tried the steak which was nicely cooked and a generous size too (4th photo)
.
Plus their Lemon Thyme Pannacotta topped with Strawberry Sauce was out of this world (8th photo)
.
The Ice Cream flavours were Snickers and Salted Caramel - both yummy! (7th photo)
.
A definite go to place for tasty Italian dishes. The restaurant has a relaxed ambience, which would make it perfect for a date or dinner with friends/family.
We didn't want to leave the nice warmth of the restaurant and head into the cold winter night after the meal. But it definitely warmed us up and fueled us along the way!

Cafe Phillies - Kensington

BRUNCH MUNCH

This was hands down the tastiest brunch I have ever had. All the ingredients were so fresh. The Sour Dough was really moreish and the portion size was huge - I loved it.

I went for the Scrambled Egg, Smoked Salmon, Toasted Sour Dough, Half Avocado & Lemon with a glass of Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice and Mint Tea.

For dessert I tried their famous Flourless Orange & Almond Cake served with a dollop of Greek Yogurt. It was the perfect end to a glorious brunch.

The cafe is by Holland Park and is very reasonably priced considering the Kensington location and portion size. It has been running for 11 years and is well known for its hearty all day brunch menu. It has outside seating, with heaters and blankets - essential for wintery days! We sat inside, which was stylish yet cosy, with art on the walls showcasing Balkan artists. The Manager Ilir - a true Londoner and an excellent host - very welcoming and clearly passionate about his restaurant. This was reflected in a wonderful brunch experience.

Cinnamon Bazaar - Covent Garden

THALI <3

Climb the stairs to the secret dining spot at Cinnamon Bazaar - The Bhendi Bazaar.

Open for the month of December only, this dining experience is totally luxurious. Grab some friends and share a delicious selection of modern Indian Cuisine created by the master chef Vivek Singh.

The room is for up to 12 people and screams fabulous! A great space to lounge and relax. Definitely a hidden gem and just the place for Xmas celebrations and catch-ups.

The Thali selection was divine, lots of different flavours and the presentation was just spectacular.

If G&T is your thing, enjoy the Franklin & Sons cocktails (which were just the right size - HUGE!) - The Snake Charmer & The Lady of The Bazaar...perfect in the boudoir that is Bendhi Bazaar!

Le Relais de Venise L'Entrecôte - Soho

If you fancy Steak & Fries there is only one place to visit - Le Relais do the one main dish, but do it very well.

The set menu includes a Green Salad with Walnut, Trimmed Entrecôte Steak "Porte Maillot" and French Fries - plus a second helping of Steak & Fries after you have finished the first plate!

Their Praliné Liégeois was rich and delicious. They have some great dessert options on the menu, so make sure you stay for a sweet treat.

Le Relais have restaurants in London, Paris, New York and Mexico and are known worldwide for their tasty signature dish.
